Welcome to Serene Tide.
Serene Tide is an emotional wellbeing and self-reflection platform developed and operated by Mayzalan FZE LLC, a company registered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "You", or "Your") and Mayzalan FZE LLC ("Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") regarding your access to and use of Serene Tide's website, mobile applications, AI-powered features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By registering an account, accessing, or using Serene Tide, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not access or use the Services.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
You must meet the applicable minimum age requirements in your jurisdiction to use Serene Tide.
If you are under 18 years of age, or below the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must obtain permission from your parent or legal guardian.
Your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf where legally required.
By using Serene Tide, you confirm that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements and have obtained any required consent.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
3. Nature of the Services
Serene Tide provides digital tools intended to support emotional wellbeing, personal development, and self-reflection.
Features may include:
- Emotional mood check-ins and tracking
- Thoughts Board and personal reflections
- Treasure Box for positive experiences and achievements
- Habit tracking and personal task management
- Two-Minute Pause activities
- Educational wellbeing content and stories
- Ocia, an AI-powered wellbeing companion
- Optional connections with independent coaches
- Personalised wellbeing insights
- Premium subscription features
Certain features may require an active subscription, internet connection, or compatible device.
We may modify, improve, discontinue, or introduce features as the platform evolves.
4. No Medical or Mental Health Advice
Serene Tide is not a medical or mental healthcare service.
The Services, including Ocia, emotional insights, educational content, and wellbeing activities, are provided solely for general wellbeing, personal development, and self-reflection.
They do not constitute:
- Medical advice or clinical diagnosis
- Psychological or psychiatric treatment
- Professional counselling or psychotherapy
- Emergency mental health intervention
- Recommendations to start, stop, or change medication
- A substitute for qualified healthcare professionals
4.1 AI-Generated Information
Ocia generates automated insights based on selected information you provide.
AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your individual circumstances.
You should not rely on Ocia to make medical, psychological, or other significant health-related decisions.
4.2 Independent Coaches
Any advice provided by an independent coach is the responsibility of that coach.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Mayzalan FZE LLC does not employ, supervise, endorse, or independently verify the professional qualifications of coaches using the platform.
4.3 Medical Emergencies
Serene Tide is not an emergency response service and does not monitor personal entries in real time.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are at risk of harming yourself or others, or require urgent medical assistance, contact your local emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional immediately.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of information obtained through Serene Tide.
5. User Accounts and Responsibilities
To access certain features, you may need to register an account.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
- Take reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorised account access
- Notify us promptly of suspected security breaches
- Use your account only for lawful purposes
- Avoid sharing account access with unauthorised individuals
You are responsible for activities conducted through your account to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We may suspend or restrict accounts where we reasonably suspect unauthorised activity, fraud, or violations of these Terms.
You may request account deletion through:

6. Serene Tide Premium and Subscriptions
Serene Tide may offer free and paid subscription plans.
Certain premium features may require a valid subscription purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or another supported payment channel.
6.1 Subscription Pricing
Subscription prices, billing intervals, available features, and any promotional offers will be displayed before purchase.
Prices may vary based on country, currency, platform, taxes, and promotional availability.
6.2 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google generally renew automatically unless cancelled.
You should cancel at least 24 hours before the current subscription period expires to avoid an upcoming renewal, subject to the applicable app store's billing rules.
Renewal charges may be processed within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
6.3 Free Trials
We may offer free trials to eligible users.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, a free trial automatically converts into a paid subscription when the trial period ends.
You must cancel before the trial expires to avoid being charged.
Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when a paid subscription is purchased, where permitted by the applicable platform.
6.4 Subscription Cancellation
You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your relevant app store account.
- Apple: Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions
- Google Play: Google Play → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions
Deleting the Serene Tide application or your Serene Tide account does not automatically cancel an active app store subscription.
6.5 Refunds
Refund requests for purchases made through Apple or Google are generally administered according to the applicable app store's refund policies.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory refund or consumer protection rights available under applicable law.
6.6 Restoring Purchases
Users may restore eligible subscriptions using the Restore Purchases feature available within the application.
6.7 Changes to Pricing and Features
We reserve the right to revise subscription prices, benefits, or available features.
Where required, users will receive advance notice of price changes and an opportunity to accept or cancel the revised subscription.
7. Ocia – AI-Powered Wellbeing Companion
Ocia is an AI-powered feature designed to provide emotional pattern summaries, wellbeing insights, activity suggestions, and personal reflections.
By using Ocia, you acknowledge that:
- Ocia generates automated content using artificial intelligence.
- AI-generated responses may contain errors or omissions.
- Ocia does not possess professional medical or psychological qualifications.
- Ocia does not provide diagnosis, therapy, or emergency assistance.
- AI-generated suggestions should be evaluated using your own judgment.
- Important health-related decisions should be discussed with qualified professionals.
7.1 Personalised AI Processing
Where enabled, Ocia processes selected information to generate personalised insights.
The information processed, applicable safeguards, and your privacy choices are described in our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Disabling Personalised Insights
You may disable personalised AI insights through:
Profile → Privacy & AI → Personalised Insights
Disabling this setting stops Ocia's personalised analysis as described in our Privacy Policy.
7.3 AI Service Availability
Ocia may depend on third-party AI infrastructure.
We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will always be available, accurate, or suitable for every user.
8. Coaches and Third-Party Professionals
Serene Tide may allow users to voluntarily connect with independent coaches through an access code or supported connection feature.
Coaches are independent third parties unless explicitly identified otherwise.
Mayzalan FZE LLC does not automatically establish an employment, agency, partnership, or professional healthcare relationship with a coach merely because the coach uses Serene Tide.
8.1 Information Sharing
When you connect with a coach, selected information may become accessible to that coach.
The categories of information shared and excluded are described in the Coaching section of our Privacy Policy.
8.2 Coach Responsibilities
Independent coaches are responsible for their professional advice, communications, conduct, and compliance with applicable professional regulations.
We do not guarantee the qualifications, reliability, or suitability of any independent coach.
8.3 Disconnecting a Coach
You may disconnect from a coach using the available application controls.
Disconnecting may restrict future access to your information but does not necessarily remove records lawfully retained by an independent coach outside Serene Tide.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Serene Tide responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws.
You must not:
- Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activities.
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to access another user's account or private information.
- Circumvent security, authentication, or subscription restrictions.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or malicious software.
- Interfere with platform infrastructure or availability.
- Reverse-engineer, reproduce, scrape, distribute, or commercially exploit the Services except where legally permitted.
- Use Ocia to intentionally generate unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.
- Misrepresent your identity or professional qualifications.
- Use the platform to provide unauthorised medical or clinical services.
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary.
10. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the original content you create or submit through Serene Tide, including:
- Personal reflections
- Mood check-in notes
- Thoughts Board entries
- Treasure Box entries
- Habit records
- Tasks and goals
- Messages and other personal submissions
By submitting content, you grant Mayzalan FZE LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that content solely as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the Services you request.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your personal content to Mayzalan FZE LLC.
We do not sell your personal reflections or use them for unrelated advertising.
Our processing of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
The licence ends when the relevant content is deleted, except to the extent continued processing or retention is lawfully necessary.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
Serene Tide, including its software, branding, interface, design, graphics, original educational content, stories, activities, and AI companion identity, is owned by or licensed to Mayzalan FZE LLC.
All applicable intellectual property rights are reserved.
The name Serene Tide, associated branding, and the character Ocia may not be used commercially without our prior written authorisation.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for lawful, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit our proprietary content without permission, except where applicable law expressly permits.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, store, share, and protect personal information, including emotional wellbeing information and optional AI-related processing.
By using Serene Tide, you acknowledge that personal information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law and any consent requirements.

If a feature requires separate consent under applicable law, we will seek that consent through the relevant application process.
13. Service Availability and Modifications
We aim to provide reliable and secure Services.
However, Serene Tide is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Services will always be uninterrupted.
- All features will remain available indefinitely.
- The platform will be free from technical errors.
- AI-generated insights will always be accurate.
- Every feature will work on every device or operating system.
We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security, updates, or technical reasons.
We may also modify or discontinue features, subject to applicable contractual and consumer protection obligations.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mayzalan FZE LLC and its officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of Serene Tide.
This may include losses resulting from:
- Temporary service interruptions
- Technical errors
- AI-generated information
- Independent coach advice or conduct
- Unauthorised access not attributable to our failure to meet applicable legal obligations
- Decisions made solely in reliance on informational wellbeing content
To the extent legally permitted, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Services will not exceed the amount paid by you for Serene Tide during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability, statutory remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Serene Tide at any time.
You may also request account deletion using the application controls.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where:
- You materially violate these Terms.
- We identify fraudulent or unlawful activity.
- Your account presents a significant security risk.
- Continued access would violate applicable law.
- The Services are discontinued.
Where reasonable and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Account termination does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by Apple or Google.
Provisions relating to intellectual property, liability, accrued payment obligations, dispute resolution, and other terms intended to survive termination will continue to apply where appropriate.
16. Third-Party Services
Serene Tide integrates with third-party technology providers, which may include:
- Supabase for backend infrastructure and authentication
- Google Gemini API for AI-powered functionality
- RevenueCat for subscription management
- Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution and payments
Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to their applicable terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for independent third-party services beyond our legal obligations and the responsibilities we expressly undertake.
17. Changes to These Terms
Mayzalan FZE LLC may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our Services, business operations, or applicable laws.
Material changes will be communicated through the application, website, or registered email address where appropriate.
The Last Updated date at the beginning of these Terms identifies the most recent revision.
Where legally permitted, continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
If you do not agree with a material change, you may discontinue use and terminate your account, subject to applicable subscription and consumer rights.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates, including relevant federal laws and laws applicable in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Subject to mandatory consumer protection laws and any applicable jurisdictional requirements, disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Serene Tide shall be submitted to the competent courts of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory legal rights available to consumers in their country of residence.
19. Apple App Store Terms
If you download or access Serene Tide through the Apple App Store, the following additional provisions apply:
- These Terms are between you and Mayzalan FZE LLC, not Apple Inc.
- Mayzalan FZE LLC is responsible for the application and its content, subject to applicable law.
- Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Serene Tide.
- Apple has no warranty obligations beyond those required under applicable law and Apple's own applicable terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce applicable provisions against you.
- Your use of Serene Tide must comply with applicable Apple App Store rules and usage terms.
- Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it also governs your use of the application to the extent applicable.
20. Google Play Terms
If you download or purchase Serene Tide through Google Play, your use of the application is also subject to applicable Google Play terms and policies.
Google may administer billing, subscription renewals, cancellations, and refunds according to its applicable policies.
Mayzalan FZE LLC remains responsible for operating Serene Tide and providing application support, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
